My name is Dagmar Krafft and I am the founder of Vela Blu, a brand new fashion label focussing on relaxed and casual luxury which was launched in 2010.
After spending most of my working life working in some of the best fashion mail order houses the world over (I was managing director of Elegance UK and chief executive of Artigiano), I felt it was time to bring my own style and ideas to fruition by developing a new label to cater for the type of people that were not being served. My passion for that difficult-to-get-right, elusive combination of simple-yet-stylish, comfortable-yet-luxurious clothing, combined with my professional experience inspired me to start my own business.
Vela Blu’s head office is located on the beautiful English south coast and the lifestyle of sun, sand, and sea echoes the Vela Blu brand and its philosophy of chic, easy-to-wear, stylish clothing that truly embraces a relaxed yet luxurious way of life.
When we design our clothes we have real women in mind - not super models. The clothes are made by me, for me (and people like me – like you), but in a way that, hopefully, will make you feel like a super model!
Vela Blu does not make, or stand for, ‘fast fashion’ – the designs are very well made and ooze longevity; are sophisticated with a classic, yet fashionable twist and are designed to be worn for many seasons to come. Vela Blu’s multitasking wardrobe is as perfectly suited for busy mums as for work; for holidays at the beach or for the boardroom; for relaxing days shopping with friends or simply being at home and in the garden.
As a new company we are a small team of enthusiastic and passionate fashion, design and ecommerce professionals. Our small team means that we can offer personal attention to you and your requirements and I hope that some of this attention shows.
